Installations Dutch museum

In cooperation with our Dutch partner, DISC Benelux in Breda, we have won three further Dutch museum as customer:

• Nederlands Openluchtmuseum Arnheim
• Tropenmuseum Amsterdam
• Kröller-Müller-Muesum Otterlo

Requirements:
longterm and secure storage of analogue and digital film and foto documents; reliable storage

PoINT Solution:
PoINT Jukebox Manager with Blu-ray storage system (capacity 5,2 TB)

Requirements:
Archiving of more than 720,000 digital files as jpg, audio- und video files as well as scanned inventory cards and various text documents; inclusion of museum management system (TMS)

Solution:
The TMS archives the documents by the file system of PoINT Jukebox Manager on a Blu-ray jukebox and stores the data on 50-GB media. The solution is not only for archival but also for data online supply.

Requirement:
Protecting and archiving of collection information, photographies of the collection, files of the museum employees
Solution:
PoINT Storage Manager, PoINT Archiver and PoINT Jukebox Manager
The user files are stored automatically by PoINT Archiver within the jukebox. By using the versioning management even older versions of the files can be imported. 

The digital documents are archived on the Blu-ray jukebox by PoINT Jukebox Manager and the museum management software.
