System Requirements
Intel Pentium ベース、又は互換性のあるプロセッサー、最低でも2.0 GHz (又は、マルチコアのCPU)。データの暗号化を行う場合には、Pentium 4 at 3.2 GHz (又は、マルチコアのCPU) が必要。
最低でも、2 GBのRAM が必要です。4GBのRAMが推奨されます。
PoINT Storage Managerは以下のOSをサポートしています。
- Windows Server 2003 SP1 and 2003 R2
- Windows Server 2008
それぞれのOSで、32 bitと64 bitがサポートされていますが、PoINT Storage Managerにも32bit版と64bit版があります。.
Note: このバージョンのPoINT Storage Manager は、64bitのOSでの光メディアオートローダーはサポートしていません。
.NET Framework 2.0 は、PoINT VFS とPoINT TAFSエージェントには必須です。インストールされていない場合には、インストールするよう画面が表示されます。
インストール先のHDはNTFSパーティションである必要があります。イメージファイルとデータベースを保存するHDは暗号化や圧縮が有効で無いものを使用する必要があります。
Program Files
プログラムファイルは、HD上のスペースを約100 MByte消費します。
Database
データベースはNTFSでフォーマットされたパーティションに保存する必要があります。また、データベースのサイズはアーカイブされるファイル数に応じて大きくなりますので充分な空き容量が必要です。データベースのサイズの目安は以下の式で算出できます。
データベースのサイズ = 1024 Bytes * ディレクトリー数
+ 256 Bytes * (ディレクトリー数 + ファイル数)
+ 36 Bytes * ファイル数
ディレクトリー数とファイル数はアーカイブされるデータに含まれる総数です。
例:
- 100万個のファイルと1万個のディレクトリーでは、315 MBが必要。
- 1000万個のファイルと10万個のディレクトリーでは、約3GBが必要。
データベースは初期サイズが500MBで、自動的に100MB単位でサイズアップします。
Image Files
アーカイブされるデータは光メディアに記録される前にHD上のイメージファイルとして保存されます。光メディアへの記録が完了するとイメージファイルは削除されます。イメージファイルのサイズは使用する光メディアの空き容量と同じになります。
Note: 非常に大きなファイルをアーカイブする場合には、ファイルの32倍のHDの空き容量が必要になる場合があります。
PoINT VFS Agent
もし、PoINT VFS Agentがインストールコンポーネントとして選択されていた場合には、データベースの初期サイズが1GBとなり、イメージディレクトリーやキャッシュディレクトリーが作成されます。さらに、PoINT VFS のライトバッファーがデータベースディレクトリーに作成されます。このバッファーのサイズは、一度にPoINT VFSのデータソースに記録される全てのファイルを保存出来る必要があります。また、a PoINT VFS Data Source at a time or which will be migrated from an
External File Systemからマイグレートする場合には、一度にマイグレートされる全てのファイルを保存出来る必要があります。推奨されるディレクトリー設定に関しては、オンラインヘルプを参照して下さい。

A functioning storage workflow requires a well configured system environment with devices working free of faults and, if applicable, flawless storage media. Therefore it is of the essence that the user does backup all data by functions offered by PoINT software and/or (if required) by supplementary software products at adequate intervals (i.e. in accordance with the scope and frequency of changes), and thereby to facilitate the reinstatement of these data even in exceptional situations (i.e. in case of hardware malfunction).
