1999-02-15: Parallel CD-Recording With “PoINT CD Publisher”
The software solution “PoINT CD Publisher” enables the simultaneous recording of up to eight CD-Rs. This applies for both the production of CDs with identical as well as for CDs with different content. Now, “PoINT CD Publisher” is available in version 2.0 for Windows 95/98 and supports additionally 8x recorders.

- The content of a recorded CD can be compared to the original data.
- At the beginning of each recording process the number of parallel working recorders is to be stipulated in order to avoid a buffer underrun. This is based on the performance profile of the computer in use and the hard disks connected to same and which is determined during the installation.
The System “PoINT CD Publisher”
“CD Images”, created by independent programs (Builder), serve as source for the duplication. The core of “PoINT CD Publisher” is the application CDserver. It administers the “CD Images” in form of jobs. The sequence, in which the different jobs are processed, can be changed through simple re-sorting of the job list.
CDcopy Builder, which is part of the basic system, copies all known CD formats. The optional programs CDpublish and CDaudio Builder enable the creation of data CDs and Red-Book compliant audio CDs.
Compatible with Red Roaster, Samplitude and PoINT CDaudio Plus
“PoINT CD Publisher” is able to process the project files (TOC/TOX) of Red Roaster, Samplitude and PoINT CDaudio Plus directly. In this case no “CD Images” will have to be created.
