Storage Virtualization

Different storage technologies (hard disk, tape, optical) are centrally administrated by PoINT Storage Manager. Access is provided by a standardized Windows CIFS interface with the help of PoINT VFS (Virtual File System) or PoINT TAFS. This means hardware specific adjustments are not necessary and storage system migrations can be performed without changes in the applications (File Virtualization).
